A celebration of Queer Joy and Queer Youth, featuring original works by emerging artists from Western North Carolina

When: Show dates September 2 – September 29, 2024.

Closing Reception September 29, with an art-making program for youth ages 11-18 on September 18

Why: Highlighting the artistic talents of Queer and questioning youth in Western North Carolina, this exhibition recognizes the importance of art making for the Queer community and celebrates the joys of youth being able to speak to their identities.

How: Free to attend for all, with opportunities to purchase artwork to support the youth artists involved.

An exhibition curated by Youth OUTright’s Communications Intern, Eddie Yoffee, “Expressions” highlights the artistic talents of Queer and questioning youth in Western North Carolina, recognizes the importance of art-making for the Queer community, and celebrates the joy of youth being able to speak to their identities.

The exhibition runs from September 2nd to September 29th, 2024, with a closing reception on September 29th from 4-8PM. Please join us for performances from local youth musicians, poets, and filmmakers.

Youth OUTright will host an art-making program for Queer and questioning youth ages 11-18 in the gallery on September 18th from 4-6PM. Attendance is free for all.
