Paul Blankinship Fine Art
I grew up in Virginia and North Carolina, shunning the company of grown-ups or that of forest, swamp and open water. I still delight in such places, taking scenery from them for my pictures as well as many of my materials. My paints come from the ground, my pens stood tall in the canebrake or flew overhead, and my inks come from a walnut grove nearby.
I take my classical training outdoors, where I paint landscapes with honesty and materials I make myself.
I also offer instruction in drawing, oil painting, pen and ink and pastel to students of all ages, from novice to professional.
See me in Studio 249, and grow your spirit through your senses.
